Dora Hetrick Obituary

 

Dora E. Hetrick, 90, of Sunbury, passed away at her home on July 3, 2018. Dora was born in Sunbury on October 19, 1927, the daughter of the late Ebert and Helen (Sarvis) Conrad.

 

Dora attended Sunbury schools. She married Thomas H. Hetrick on March 29, 1946.

 

Dora was a laborer at Nite-Kraft in Sunbury, and was last employed at Creative Playthings. She was a member of the Seibert Evangelical Church in Herndon.

 

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved being and working outside creating, or tending, her flower gardens or working on her lawn.

 

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Dennis E. and Donna Hetrick of Herndon, Kathleen S. and Dale Maurer of Benton, and Steven M. and Ingrid Hetrick of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, brother Kenneth and Erath Conrad of Sunbury, sister Judy and Ivan Goodling of Mt. Pleasant Mills, and ten nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom in 2011, and brothers Carl and Roger Conrad.

 

Friends and family may visit at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury from 10 to 11 am on Monday July 9  with a funeral service at 11 am. Pastor Mark Gittens will officiate. Interment will follow at the Herndon Cemetery, Herndon, PA.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research.
