Northumberland - Donna Jean Hare, 81 passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at The Mansion Nursing and Rehab, Sunbury.

Donna was born on January 28, 1943 in Sunbury a daughter of the late Leroy M. "Barney" and Phyllis V. (Rearick) Yeager.  On November 3, 1962 she married Jay R. Simpson who preceded her in death on March 17. 1972.  On October 24, 1987 she married Victor W. Hare, Jr. who passed away on January 24, 2020.

She attended the Steele Spruce Hollow School and was a 1960 graduate of Northumberland High School.

Donna was employed with various local businesses over the years and was a personal care aide for many years.

She had a great love for animals always having dogs and cats in her home.

Mrs. Hare is survived by; four children, Mark J. and wife Irene of Northumberland, Julia of Dover, DE, Todd of Hull, MA, Kyle and wife Denise of Mifflinburg, grandchildren, Paige and husband, Michael, Jaelise, Colton and fiance, Makayla, Brock, Dillon and Bree Jean, great-grandchildren, Braxton and Adelynn, two sisters, Lisa Yeager and husband, Toby of Sunbury, Susan Yeager and husband, Rick of Pottsgrove, one brother, Bob Yeager and wife Carol of Georgia and her extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jason Budd Simpson on March 31, 2010.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, July 19, 2024 in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.

Arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland.
