Dianne L. Pope, 75, of Red Fox Lane, Sunbury, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, in her home.
Dianne was born May 3, 1949, in Danville, a daughter of the late John K. and Dorothy (Yatsko) Startzel. On Feb. 15, 1969, she married James T. Pope who survives.
She was a 1967 graduate of Shamokin High School.
Dianne was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Sunbury.
She was the secretary for the Catawissa Avenue United Methodist Church and the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Dianne was a member of the Foster Parent Association in Northumberland County and hosted several foster children.
She enjoyed ceramics and crafts, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and Jeanetta Pope; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kimberly Pope-Seiberling and Eric, Aimee Pope and Jamie and Eric Doering; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Pam Startzel; and sister, Lois Zimmerman.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Pope.
A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 24, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 968 Renn's Road, Sunbury, where the memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Eric Light officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant United Methodist Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
