Dessie Freeze Obituary

Dessie I Freeze, 84, of Sunbury, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, Dec. 1, 2025. Born June 15, 1941, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Musser) and Herman Lindsey.
She is survived by her children, Terry Lindsey, Nancy Rowe, Cindy Bennick, Tammy Oyster and Linda Philhower. There was nothing she loved more than holding a baby and was blessed with full arms including 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters. Her greatest title was Gram and she devoted her time and energy to her grandchildren. She loved spoiling them with small gifts and full candy dishes.
Dessie was surely greeted in heaven by her daughter, Lisa Shiffer; great-grandson Coen Burgess and numerous brothers and sisters.
On Sundays you would find her attending the Salvation Army as she was a lifetime member.
Her tenacious spirit will be missed as she did not hold back if she had something to say.
A viewing will be held at Zweier’s funeral Home Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, from 10 to 11, followed by a service at 11. Burial will be at Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon following the services.
