Debra K. Heim Obituary

Debra Kay Heim, 61, a resident of Selinsgrove, passed away unexpectedly at her home Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, following a sudden medical emergency.

Deb was born on June 12th, 1962 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania to Charles W. and Virginia M. (Strohecker) Taylor. She was the youngest of four children.

She grew up in Sunbury and attended Sunbury schools. Deb was a 1980 graduate of Shikellamy High School.

Deb was enjoying her retirement after being employed by the Selinsgrove Center for 36 years. She was good friends with many of her co-workers.

Deb was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in Sunbury, Pennsylvania.

Deb enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and pet cats. She was independent, fun-loving, and free-spirited.

Deb was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Heim, her parents, and one brother David Taylor.

She is survived by one daughter, Jessikah Heller (Krista) of Middleburg; One son, Christian Heimbach (John) of Sunbury; one grandson, Landyn Heimbach; one granddaughter, Imogen Heimbach-Hellmann; Two brothers, Charles Taylor (Deb) of Northumberland and Timothy Taylor (Sue) of Cincinnati, Ohio; Her first husband and friend ,Carl Heimbach; nieces, nephews, and friends.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church in Sunbury, Pennsylvania on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 11 AM with a visitation beginning at 1030 AM. Burial will follow at Shriner's Church Cemetery in Shamokin Dam, PA With Fr. Fred Wangwe officiating.

Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
