David L. Cook, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Sunbury Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born on November 20, 1935, in Sunbury, he was the son of the late Lester and Margaret (Bastress) Cook. On July 4, 1959, he married the former Marie Anne Raup, sharing nearly 59 years of marriage until her passing on July 20, 2018.
A graduate of Sunbury High School, David proudly served his country in the Army Reserves. He was employed by TRW and later worked for the railroad for many years until his retirement.
David was a faithful member of the Susquehanna Valley Church of Christ in Selinsgrove. He enjoyed gardening, camping, and, above all, spending time with his family especially his grand children. He will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic, love of the outdoors, and his dedication to his family. 
He is survived by his children, Jeff (Cindy) Cook, Bob (Stacey) Cook, Lori (Dan) Clemens, Ann (Tim) Gelvin, and Sheila (Tom) Packer; his grandchildren, Matt, Natasha, George, Kyle, Deanna, Meredith, Courtney, Schylar, Robert, George, Ben, Olivia, and Jayden; and his great-grandchildren, Nattilynn, Carson, Brooke, Jameson, Emmett, and Austyn.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mae Ross and Alda Boyer.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, June 30, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Susquehanna Valley Church of Christ, 200 Roosevelt Avenue, Selinsgrove. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rodney Nulph officiating. 

Burial will take place in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
