Sunbury - Daniel A. "Dan" Seedor, 89 of Haas Manor Road, East passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at his home.
He was born on March 24, 1935 in Shamokin a son of the late John and Lottie (Flood) Seedor. On June 26, 1999 he married the former Theodora S. Hile who survives.
He was a graduate of Shamokin High School. As a proud Marine, Dan served during the Korean War.
He was a master electrician for Conrail who retired after 42 years of dedicated employment.
Dan loved to recite the Rosary, was a 60 year member of the Legion of Mary, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a long-time parishioner of St. Monica Catholic Church, Sunbury.
Mr. Seedor was a talented woodworker and even built his own home. He was an avid football fan, particularly of the Pittsburgh Steelers and had a great love for Pennsylvania Polka music.
In addition to his wife, Dan is survived by; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Daniel A. Seedor of FL, George and Tammy Seedor of Mifflinburg, two daughters and one son-in-law, Victoria Sanberg of Rebuck, Carol and Keith Weber of FL, his grandchildren, Louis, Rachel, Andrew, Jennifer, Max, Steven, Derrick and Kiana, great-granddaughter, Alice, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Rose Marie and Charles Wayne and Bonnie Bono and his godson, William Reid.
He was preceded in death by; three brothers and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2024 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 109 Market Street, Sunbury with Rev. Jerome Kleponis as Celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00am followed by a viewing from 10:30am until 11:20am.
The family of Mr. Seedor would like to give a special thank you to all of those involved in the care of Dan during his time of need.
