Cynthia Evitts Obituary

Cynthia "Cindy" (nee Jablonski) Evitts of Northumberland, PA, born July 15, 1943 in Mount Carmel, PA entered into eternal rest on June 11, 2026 at Danville, PA.


Cindy was the daughter of Leo and Helen (Marut) Jablonski. Cindy was a graduate of Mount Carmel Area High School in 1961. Cindy followed her Catholic faith her whole life and married Jerry Evitts at Our Mother Of  Consolation Church of Mount Carmel on February 8, 1964. Cindy worked at the Pentagon in Washington D.C., Susquehanna University and Keystone Human Services before retiring. Cindy and Jerry had three children together, Maria Culp, a daughter and two sons, Steven Evitts and Christopher Evitts.


Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Leo Jablonski. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Maria and her two sisters, Frances Jablonski and Carol Morgan. She is survived by one sister, Gloria Leschinskie, her sons, Steven and Christopher, four grandchildren and two great-granddaughters as well as many nieces and nephews.

In this life, we face many trials and tribulations, however how we overcome and live on after is what we leave behind. Live life with a kind heart, live one another, enjoy the simple things in life for those are what will matter most.  Most importantly, live through God and his words and you will have eternal life. 


A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 10:50am on Friday, June 19, 2026 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 109 Market Street, Sunbury followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am with Rev. Jerome Kleponis as celebrant.


Burial will follow in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.


Arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland.
