Charlotte Rhinehart, 87 of Northumberland, PA passed away Thursday October 3rd at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville surrounded by her loving family.
Charlotte was born in Sunbury, PA on November 15, 1936. A daughter of the late Florence I (Keithan) and Paul C Kline.
She graduated from Sunbury High School Class of 1954 and attended Susquehanna University. She then served in the Air Force in 1955 as a Personnel Specialist.
She was the wife of the late James C. Foulk and the late Charles A Rhinehart
Charlotte is survived by three children. Debra, wife of Roger Boyer Jr of Sunbury, William C. of Berwick and Ann C. of Northumberland. A brother, Richard P. Kline of Tooele, Utah.
She is also survived by grandchildren Jamie and her husband Ryan Snyder of Lititz, PA and Jason and his wife Lindsay Boyer of Shermansdale, PA. Great Grandchildren Paige Snyder of Lititz, Payton Snyder of Lititz, Emma Boyer of Shamokin and Bridget Boyer of Sunbury.
She was preceded in death by her sister Lois K. Kline
Throughout Charlotte’s life she was employed by The Kingsport Press, Bell Telephone Company, Champ Hats, Sunbury Post Office and Keithan’s Bakery. She was also a proud member of Post 201 American Legion Auxillary and The Northumberland County Historical Society where she served as Treasurer for 20+ years.
If you knew Charlotte you knew of her love for her family first and foremost. You could find her watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, always knowing most answers. Charlotte also took great joy in her love of history. In 1978 at the Northumberland Historical Society Archeological Dig she uncovered a Silver cross. This cross was replicated by a local blacksmith and was named “Charlotte’s Cross” and remains on display to this day. She also loved genealogy and keeping up with all aspects of the Keithan, Kline and Rhinehart names.
She found great joy in listening to her scanner and could always be found playing bingo with her friends at the Nottingham Village Retirement Center.
Friends and Family may call Thursday October 10th from 12-1pm at Blank Funeral Home in Sunbury. Service will follow at 1:00pm
Interment will be at Northumberland Memorial Park
