Catherine Rozyckie Obituary

Catherine E Rozyckie, 98, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 14, 2021, at Buffalo Valley Nursing Home, Lewisburg, Pa, where she had been residing.

She was born in Sunbury, Pa, and was the daughter of the late Paul and Fay Schnee.

She was married to Stephen C. Rozyckie for 60 years, until his passing in November of 2003.

“Kacky” as was affectionately known, loved nothing more than the simple things in life. Bird watching, gardening, and music. She loved to play the piano and sing.  She sang on WKOK as a teenager and sang in the choir at Zion Lutheran Church, where she was a member.  But what she loved most was being surrounded by family.

She is survived by her sister Nancy Dailey, two sons, Stephen G. Rozyckie and wife Kay, Barry Rozyckie and wife Stephanie Rohrbach, daughter Merrily Dailey and husband William, five grandchildren, Stephen P. Rozyckie, and wife Marla, Eric Rozyckie and wife Cynthia, Vanessa Rozyckie, Misty Rozyckie, and Joseph Rozyckie, six great-grandchildren Stephen S. Rozyckie, Skylar Rozyckie, Olivia Rozyckie, Zahki Nettles, Aja Nettles and Jason Fenton II.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband, was her brother Paul Schnee and sister June Pray.

A family memorial will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
