Carolyn J Shultz Obituary

Sunbury - Carolyn J. Shultz, 91, peacefully passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 at The Manor of Penn Village, Selinsgrove.

She born February 5, 1934, in York, PA. a daughter of the late Alice (Snyder) Hafer and Carroll Hafer.

Carolyn graduated in 1952 from Sunbury High School. 

 

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sunbury.

She was married to the late John E. Shultz for 32 years.

Carolyn moved to Sunbury in 1939 residing at 204 North Fourth St. Sunbury, PA. She always said she had the best childhood with her friends in the neighborhood.

She was the best cook and never made anything her three children didn't like.

Every year she would spend one or two days making sand tart cookies for her children and friends.

Carolyn loved outings at Knobel's Grove Amusement park and the Bloomsburg Fair. Her favorite place was The Fence when her 2 sons would visit from out of state.

Romaine Richards, her sister, preceded her in death and a brother, Donald Hafer.

She will be lovingly be remembered by her children, daughter, Teri Bower (Larry), of Milton, PA, And two sons, Chris Shultz, of Fort Lauderdale Fl., and John C. Shultz of Herndon, VA, Nieces And Nephews,

She is survived by a special friend, Lois Weichel, of Gibsonia, PA.

She will be sorely missed as she was loved by all who were blessed to know her.


Funeral services will be private.
