Carol A. Sassaman Obituary

Carol Sassaman 83. It is with great sadness that the family announces that

Carol Sassaman entered eternal rest on Sunday February 23, 2025.

Carol was born March 5, 1941, the daughter of the late Phyllis Haupt. On

November 8, 1958, she married Dixon Sassaman who preceded her in death

in 2006.

She worked in the meat department at Acme before retiring.

A loving, caring Mom, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, her greatest joy

was her family.  She proudly supported and attended many of her family’s

events and activities.  She always looked out for everyone making sure they

had eaten and were taking care of.  She was very fond of holiday meals and

was known for her Christmas cookies.  She was the rock of our family.  Her

passing will leave a void in the hearts of her family, and all who knew her.  The

love, care, and kindness she showed and taught, will help us all.

Carol is survived by her children: Steve Sassaman (Shari), Leonard

Sassaman, Dixie Anderson (Brian), & AJ Sassaman. She is also

survived by her grandchildren: Todd (Cassandra), Nicole, Lennie (Courtney),

Steve (Heather), Nate (Ruby), Stacey, Samantha, & Brynlee. She is

also survived by nine great grandchildren & one great, great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son Kenny, three sisters & one brother.

Interment will be private. Arrangements will be made by Blank Funeral Home, Sunbury.
