Carol J. McAllister, 77, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.

 

Carol was born April 21, 1948 in Sunbury a daughter of the late John and Mary (Heimbach) Neidig.  

 

She was a 1966 graduate of Sunbury High School.

 

Carol was a member St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Sunbury.

 

She was a loving mother and grandmother, she loved cats and Nascar and would name her cats after racecar drivers.

 

Carol was a member of the Friendship Hose Company of Sunbury.

 

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law Rodney and Ruby McAllister, Zachary and Jenny McAllister, her daughter and son-in-law Tami and Philip Moody, granddaughters Kelsie, Haily (Andrew), Madison, Adelyn, Emma and Quinlin, one brother and sister-in-law David and Joan Neidig and brother-in-law John McAllister.

 

A viewing will be held Monday, August 18 from 10:00am-11:00am at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00am with Rev. Andrew Weaver officiating.

 

Burial will follow in the United Lutheran Church Cemetery, Sunbury.
