Sunbury - Bruce C. Shoemaker, 70, of Sunbury Nursing and Rehab Center passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023. 

 

Bruce was born January 15, 1953 in Sunbury a son of the late Bruce I. and Bernice (Clark) Shoemaker.

 

He was a high school graduate of Shikellamy High School and received his bachelors degree from Bloomsburg University.

 

Bruce formerly worked as a caseworker for the county, was a substitute teacher for Shikellamy School District, and most recently was employed by the Selinsgrove State Center as an aide.

He is survived by his siblings Brad Shoemaker, Betsy Megalos and her husband Mark, and Blair Shoemaker and wife Gayle, nieces and nephews Brick and Ashley Shoemaker, Michael and Melissa Megalos, Blake Shoemaker and Brittany Ziants

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Broderick.

Friends and family may visit Friday, November 24, from 10:00am-11:00am at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury, where the funeral service will follow at 11:00am.

 

Interment will follow in Pomfret Manor, Sunbury.
