Bruce Fisher Obituary
Bruce R. Fisher of Penns Creek, passed away Wednesday, October 9, at Geisinger Medical Center, in Danville.
He was born March 9, 1939, in Sunbury, the youngest son of the late Edward C. Fisher and Ida V. (Steinert) Fisher.
As an infant, he lost his father, and at the age of 8, was entrusted to the care of Girard College in Philadelphia, where he received his education.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward S. Fisher, and sister, Lena C. “Pat” Shaffer.
He is survived by a sister, Alice F. Higgins, of Mechanicsburg, a sister-in-law, Shirley Fisher, of Charlottesville, VA, nieces and nephews, and his friends, Urie and Bonnie Yoder, of Penns Creek, with whom he resided since 2010.
Bruce enjoyed attending the races at Williams Grove and Port Royal Speedway with Urie.
A graveside service will be help at 11:00am on Friday, October 18 2019, in Pomfret Manor Cemetery with Father Robert Van Deusen officiating.
Arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home at 210 King Street, Northumberland
