It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brian A. (34) and Megin M. (32) Wallace of Sunbury. Their greatest accomplishment was their 3-year-old son, Decklen Roy Wallace. Together they lived life fully. As a family, they enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, WBS Penguins Hockey games, riding motorcycles, hosting gatherings, and watching football with friends. Brian and Megin were devoted “Uncle and Aunt” to their nieces and nephews, Kaden, Lexa, Grayson, Cooper, and Emerson. They formed lasting friendships wherever they went, leaving a legacy of kindness, trust, and love. Known for their generous hearts, they were always the first to help those in need.

Born on May 7, 1992, Brian Adrian Wallace was the beloved son of Dave and Nancy Wallace. Brian is lovingly remembered by his siblings and their spouses - Davey & Andrea Wallace and Stevi & Logan Campbell, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy & Nancy Good, and Barbara Wallace.

Brian was a 2009 graduate of SUN Area Technical Institute (Electrical) and a 2010 Shikellamy graduate. He was the Owner/Operator of B.W. Contracting since 2017.

Brian was often involved in various local organizations in our area, including a lifetime member of the East End Hose Company, Sunbury Moose, Sunbury Eagles, and Good Will Hose Company, while acting as an Officer of the Sons of the American Legion Post 44. Brian was a proud member of the American Legion Riders, where he was presented a Gold Star Mother’s Challenge Coin - given to those who go out of their way to help military families, which can only be given to you by the mother of a fallen soldier. This honor was a true testament of Brian’s passion to help others.

Brian was a member of Miller’s Crossroads United Methodist Church.

Megin Marie (Hickey), age 32, passed away on July 15, 2026. She tragically passed alongside her loving husband Brian Wallace. She was a devoted mother, loving daughter, sister, and a talented chef whose warmth and strength touched those around her.

Megin will be deeply missed by her son, Decklen, her parents, Mike and Lisa Hickey, and her two sisters, Erin and her spouse Aaron, and Vanessa and her spouse Jonathan, her maternal grandmother Sandy, aunts, nephews, nieces, and many friends. She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Robert Gaugler and Kay Jenkins.

Megin was a 2012 graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School. Megin worked alongside her husband to help run their business.

She was a member of The American Legion Riders, Auxiliary Member of The American Legion Post 44, Sunbury Moose Lodge 181, Good Will Hose Company, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
As a mother, wife, and chef, she brought care, creativity, and heart into everything she did. Megin’s memory will live on through her son, Decklen and all of the love and joy she shared.

A joint visitation for the couple will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd from 10am-1:00pm at High Hope Church in Sunbury with funeral services at 1pm with Pastor Mark Gittens officiating.  

Burial will be in Miller's Crossroads Cemetery, Sunbury.
