Brenda Shingara Obituary

Sunbury - Brenda Kay (Senff) Shingara, 71, of Dornsife Mt. Road, passed away Sunday, July 14, at Sunbury Nursing and Rehabilitation.

 

She was born April 23, 1953 in Evansville, IN a daughter of the late Imogene and Edward Eugene Senff.  On February 28, 1976, she married Joseph Shingara who survives.  

 

Brenda volunteered for the Red Cross- CPR, 4-H, Fire Police, First Responder, Prison Christian Growth Group for 15 years, Pregnancy Care Center for 16 years and Bible School at Poe Valley.

 

She was a member of Augusta Baptist Church and enjoyed Bible studies.

 

Brenda was a lifetime learner and an avid lover of crafts, quilting, photography and art.

 

She is survived by her estranged husband Joseph, granddaughter Alyssa Attinger, great granddaughter

Adalyn Sweitzer, daughter-in-law Tammy Herman and step grandsons Derrick Knamm, Shawn Rose and their wonderful families.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons Christopher Lee Herman and Kenneth R. Herman, Jr., and her brother Edward.

 

A celebration of life will be held August 16, from 10:00am-11:00am at the Augustaville Wesleyan Church, 2548 PA-890 Paxinos where the memorial service will follow at 11:00am

 

Arrangements are by the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury.
