Brenda Long Obituary

Northumberland – Brenda L. (Snook) Long, 56 of Orange Street passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Sunbury Community Hospital.
She was born July 25, 1960 in Lewisburg a daughter of the late John David “Jack” Snook and Shirley Mae (Predix) Beacham.  On May 14, 2005 she married Benjamin R. Long who survives.
Brenda was a 1978 graduate of Shikellamy High School and received her associates degree in computer science from Williamsport Area Community College.
She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Selinsgrove.
Brenda was an active volunteer with several local Trap, Neuter and Release programs.  She was also a member of the Snyder County Red Hats Society.
Mrs. Long enjoyed traveling to various destinations.
In addition to her husband she is survived by, her daughter, Julia C. Long of Washington D. C., brother, John D. Snook, Jr. of Lewisburg, sister, Sonja L. Romig and husband Kerry of Beaver Springs, brother-in-law, John J. Long, Jr of Sunbury, sister-in-law, Laura Lorraine Long of Northumberland, nephews, John D. Snook III, Michael Patrick Snook, Kerry Romig, Jr., Adam Romig, great-nephews, Michael Patrick Snook, Jr. and William Snook, great-niece, Yekaterina Snook and mother-in-law, Carol R. Long of Northumberland.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, John J. Long, Sr.   
Friends and family may visit from 12:00pm to 1:00pm Monday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland where a Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Brenda’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central Susquehanna Unit, 1420 N. Susquehanna Trail, Selinsgrove, PA 17870 or to the American Heart Association, 1411 E. Third Street Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
