Beverly A McCreary, 74, of Sunbury, passed away at The Manor at Penn Village on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025. She was born on April 23,1951 in Bloomsburg. a daughter of Leonard W. Rudy, Sr., of Danville, and the late former Clara B. (Krainak) Rudy. On Sept. 14, 1996, she married James D. McCreary Jr., who preceded her in death.

Beverly retired from Weis Markets packaging plant. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her home and especially loved caring for several dogs over the years.

Beverly is survived by her two brothers, Gary and his wife Barbara Rudy, of Washingtonville and James and his wife Julie Rudy, of Danville; stepson James D. McCreary III, wife Holly, of Williamsport; stepdaughter Amanda Diehl, and husband Thomas, of Selinsgrove; three grandsons Richard, Neil, Hunter; one granddaughter; and niece Victoria Rosancrans and wife Kristine, of Sunbury.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Richard and Leonard Rudy and her caregiver, Steve Scoviak.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury. A Celebration of Life will be held on Oct. 4, 2025, at 113 Chestnut St., Sunbury, at 11 a.m. A private burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Northumberland at the convenience of the family.
