Sunbury - Arlene A. Knepp, 96, formerly of Front Street, passed away November 11, 2023 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Arlene was born April 6, 1927 in Shickshinny a daughter of the late Freas W. and Josephine E. (Peters) Hontz.
She worked for Geisinger Medical Center for many years.
Arlene was a member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ, Sunbury.
She enjoyed playing cards and puzzles but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.
Arlene is survived by son Leonard Knepp (Judy Halterman) of Hummelstown, three daughters and two sons-in-law Judy Stets (Walter) of Mountain Top, Nancy Herman (Warren) of Lancaster, Debra Kuttruff of Sunbury, five grandchildren Brooke, Allison, Aaron, Laura and Brian and several great grandchildren and one sister Lois Wood.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
At Arlene's request a graveside service will be held for her family.
Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
Donations in Arlene's memory may be made to her church, the First Reformed United Church of Christ, 160 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
