April Leese Obituary
Hummelstown - April Ann Leese, 63, formerly of Danville, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, October 26, 2017 in Hershey Medical Center.
April was born December 23, 1953 in Sunbury a daughter of the late Freeman H. Leese and Faye E. (McCartney) Leese of Hummelstown.
She spent her childhood years in Northumberland and graduated from Shikellamy High School in 1972 and then went to work in the Geisinger Radiology Department before moving on to work for Abigail's Attic. April retired in October 2016 from Abigail's Attic, after 25 years of service. April served in several positions over the years with Christian Woman's Club and was a volunteer with Geisinger Auxiliary. April remained a resident in Danville until November 2016 when she relocated and resided with her brother and family in Hummelstown.
April was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Riverside.
In addition to her mother April is survived by her brother David B. Leese and wife Connie of Hummelstown, Nieces Vanessa M. Rogers and husband Earl, Hilary F. Gross and husband Braden all of New Kingston, one great nephew Gannon Rogers, Aunt Patsy Bendle and husband Larry of San Antonio, TX, Uncle Paul Leese and wife Donna of Northumberland and lifelong friend Tom Skotedis, and numerous cousins and many dear friends.
April was a lovely and gracious lady who had many friends including the ladies of Abigail's Attic. She always had a kind and encouraging word for others.
Funeral services will be at the discretion of her family. Arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland.
Donations in April's memory may be made to her church St. Peter's United Methodist Church, 240 Sunbury Rd., Riverside, PA 17868 or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society PA Keystone Chapter, 1501 Reedsdale St., Suite 105, Pittsburgh PA 15233.
