Annette Cassell, age 66, passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Springcreek Nursing Home, with her devoted mother and son right by her side.
​Born on January 14, 1960, Annette was the cherished daughter of Elsie Witmer and the late John G. Witmer III. In her younger years, she resided and worked in the Harrisburg area, spending time employed with Goodwill Industries and later working for a short time at PennDOT.
​Annette had a remarkably kind heart, which shone brightest whenever animals were around. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially the bright moments when her son and sister would bring their dogs into the nursing home to visit her. Those tail-wags and visits truly lit up her days and brought her great comfort.
​She is reunited in peace with her father, John G Witmer III, and her younger sister, Brenda.
​Annette’s memory will be forever carried on by her loving mother, Elsie Witmer; her beloved son, Thomas Cassell, and his wife, Jessica; her brother, William, and his wife, Rosie; and her sister, Judith. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, as well as the extended family, friends, and staff at Springcreek who shared in her care and warmth.

Services will be Saturday, July 25, at 11:00 in Hunters Valley Cemetery, Liverpool.
