Anna Marie Hummel

Selinsgrove – Anna Marie (Taterus) (Koveleskie) Hummel, 85, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg.

Anna Marie was born April 12, 1935 in Shamokin a daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Kozinski) Taterus.  She married Gerald Koveleskie, who was her companion since 1993.

She was a 1953 graduate of Coal Township High School.  She continued her education and graduated from Ashland School of Nursing.

Anna Marie was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health until 1991, when she retired from the Selinsgrove Center as a unit supervisor.

She is survived by her son David Hummel and and his wife Lisa of Northumberland, grandsons Mark Hummel and his wife Michaela of Dallas, Morgan Hummel and his wife Madison of Danville, stepson Gerald V. Koveleskie and his wife Missy of New Castle, DE, stepdaughter Regina Koveleskie, New Castle, DE and her closest and dearest friend Janet Grace Dockey, who loved each other like sisters.

Anna Marie was a life long lover of animals. She enjoyed her horses in her teens and early years of life and dogs in later years, when her Dina was like a daughter to her.

She loved and was loved by so many that to list them would mean an additional page in the newspaper.

Due to the current COVID guidelines, funeral services will be held privately for the family with graveside services held in Northumberland Memorial Park.  We apologize for restricting family and friends from paying respects at this time.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date for all to attend.

Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
