Alison Irene Yocum passed away unexpectedly at home on Jan. 1, 2026. She was born in Sunbury, Pa., on March 14, 1965, to Paul Eric Yocum and the late Nancy Irene (Rauch) Yocum.
Alison lived in Northumberland her entire life. She was an honors student and a member of the Shikellamy class of 1983. She enjoyed reading and loved to cook and bake with her mom. Alison lovingly cared for her neighbors’ children as if they were her own, as her mom’s health declined, she devoted her life to caring for her. She had an unwavering love for her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Alison loved living in the country and being able to watch the wildlife, especially the deer as they fed from the apple tree outside her window. She was a born-again believer in Christ and enjoyed attending church at Christ Wesleyan, Milton.
Alison is survived by her father Paul Yocum; brother Eric Yocum and wife Darla; brother Mack Yocum; brother Wade Yocum and wife Melissa. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Isabella Kantz, Rebeka Yocum and fiancé Casey Satran, Sawyer Yocum, Ford Yocum, Jacob Yocum, Bella Yocum, Ellie Yocum and Faith Yocum. She is also survived by her lifelong best friend Tammy Deitrich-Webb. Alison was preceded in death by her mother Nancy Yocum; paternal grandparents Malcolm and Lehna Yocum and maternal grandparents Harry and Alice Rauch.
A celebration of life service will be held on Jan. 8, 2026, at Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland. A time of visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. with services to follow officiated by Pastor Eric Ireland of CWC Milton.
Burial will follow at Chestnut Hills Cemetery, Winfield, Pa.
