Albert "Bud" H. Ramage, 74, of Mount Bethel, died Saturday, January 18, 2025, while under hospice care at home. He was the husband of Margaret (Thornton) Ramage with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.
Born on March 16, 1950 in Danville, he was the son of the late Albert H. and Harriet (Glass) Ramage and grew up in Sunbury where he was a member of the Americus Hose Company. He lived in Saugerties, NY from 1987 to 2000 and then in Monroe and Northampton Counties since 2000.
He proudly served his country for twenty years in the Pennsylvania National Guard with the Company B 3rd Battalion, 109th Infantry Sunbury Armory.
Bud worked for Weis Markets in various capacities at stores in Pennsylvania and New York until retiring in 2013 after 45 years of service.
He loved football and while in high school played for the 1968 Shikellamy Braves winning team. He enjoyed following his favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Alabama Crimson Tide.
In addition to his wife, surviving are two children, Brian Ramage and wife Shena of Palmerton, and Kimberly Young and husband Kevin of Mount Bethel; and six grandchildren who were the light of his life, Madison, Aiden, Kelsey, Garrett, Ethan and Avery.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 25th at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury where viewing will begin at 10:00AM to be followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM. Burial will take place at Northumberland Memorial Park in Sunbury.
Bud felt a deep connection with wildlife. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made in his memory to the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center, 1161 Cherry Drive, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
Local arrangements are under the direction of his son in law, Kevin Young at the William H. Clark Funeral Home in Stroudsburg.
