Northumberland - William D. Bordner, 89 passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the Manor at Penn Village.
He was born June 14, 1930 in Herndon a son of the late William E. and Pearl (Fegley) Bordner. On July 1, 1950 he married the former Dorothy E. "Dot" Hockenbrock, who preceded him in death on September 12, 2014.
William was a 1948 graduate of Sunbury High School. Mr. Bordner was employed for more than 40 years with TRW/Textron as a supervisor until his retirement in 1992.
William was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Point Twp.  He was an active member of the Sunbury Social Club and the Sunbury Elks Lodge No. 267.  In his younger days, he coached in the Acorn Little League while his children played baseball. Along with enjoying family vacations, Mr. Bordner loved to attend his children and grandchildren's sporting events and activities.    
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lu Ann and Roger L. Kerstetter of Northumberland, two sons and daughters-in-law, David W. and Regina M. Bordner of Westminster, MD, Donald R. and Lisa S. Bordner of Northumberland, six grandchildren, Tara McCoach and husband Shaun, Brad Wolfe and wife Denai, Ryan Bordner and wife, Natalie, Melissa Forster and husband John, Kyla Niedergall and husband Brian and Paige Bordner, nine great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Aubrey, Jordyn, Austin, Layla, Emma, Sophie, Bryce and Beau and his numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife of 64 years, William was preceded in death by his son, Dennis W. Bordner on April 22, 2010, son-in-law, Allen R. Wolfe on March 1, 1995, brother, Merlin Bordner and four sisters, Esther Bordner in infancy, June Harman, Hazel Bucher and Grace Updegrove.
Friends and family may call from 10:00am to noon on Friday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland with funeral services beginning at noon with Brian Elsasser officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.
Contributions in Mr. Bordner's memory may be made to the Dementia Society of America, 114 N. Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
