Northumberland - Susan E. Reed, 72 of Ridge Road passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Susan was born May 14, 1946 in Shamokin a daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Weimer) Paul.  On August 9, 1969 she married Charles B. Reed who survives.
She was a 1964 graduate of Shamokin High School.  She was employed at the First National Bank, Sunbury as well as owning Charlie Reed Auto Sales with her husband, in addition, as a homemaker, she maintained her home and raised her children.
Mrs. Reed was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Point Twp.  She loved vacationing at the beach in the Outer Banks, NC and going on car rides in "Dutch Country". She enjoyed ceramics and solving crossword puzzles and attending her children's, and later grandchildren's sporting events.  Her greatest joy came from time spent with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 49 years, Susan is survived by; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles A. and Mandy Reed of Selinsgrove, Michael J. and Allison J. Reed of Sunbury, two daughters and one son-in-law, Jill S. Reed and April A. and David P. Farrell all of Northumberland, nine grandchildren, Brett, Colton, Jordan, C.J., Henry, Andrew, Alex, Avery and Mason, her great-grandchildren, three brothers, Danny, Jimmy and David and three sisters, Rosie, Eileen and Diane, her many nieces and nephews, and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their families.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Walter.
Friends and family may call from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00am with Rev. Steven Middernacht officiating.
Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
