Montandon- Rodney Ray Dieffenbach, 39, of Housels Run Road, succumbed to his Kryptonite on Monday, January 8th, 2018 at Watsontown Health & Rehab, where he had been a resident.

Born January 25th, 1978 at Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg, a son of Kenneth G. Dieffenbach Sr. and Susan M. (Mathison) Dieffenbach of Milton.

Rodney was a 1996 graduate of Mifflinburg High School/Sun-Tech, where he specialized in Computer Aided Drafting.  He was employed by Playworld, Lewisburg,  as a playground designer.

He was a former member of the Susquehanna Motorcycle Club in Milton, and had a great love for dogs, which included his own, Roxy & Bailey.

Rodney will always be remembered for his collection and fondness of superhero comic books & memorabilia.  His greatest love was for his family & extended family members. This included Jonathan Peters and William & Skylar Smith, which held a very special place in his heart, as well as the entire Mertz family.  

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving and dedicated significant other Megan A. Mertz and his two brothers Derrick W. Dieffenbach of Allenwood & Kenneth G. Dieffenbach Jr. of Mifflinburg.

Friends and family may visit Saturday, January 13th, from 1-3pm at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland, where the memorial service will follow at 3pm.
Interment will be a private family ceremony. To help increase awareness of his Kryptonite (Adrenoleukodystrophy), Rodney has donated tissue to help further research & development for a cure.
