David enjoyed camping, golfing, gardening, painting, and boating.  One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren who affectionately called him Peepaw…who they knew could fix anything.  He was an avid fan of Penn State Nittany Lions, where his children graduated, and the Pittsburg Steelers.  He was actively involved in the Moose Lodge, Kiwanis Club, American Legion, and the Shikellamy marching band and football boosters.  He also served on the Northumberland County Juvenile Court Service Advisory Board.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy (Wolfe) Lipko.  He is also survived by one son and one daughter and their spouses, David M. and Lori Lipko of Orange, Texas, Lora and Michael Irwin of Coral Springs, Florida; six grandchildren, Breonna Canova and her husband Darren, Seth Lipko and his wife Candace, Caleb Lipko; Ryan, Justin, and Kaitlyn Irwin; and one sister, Mary Yuresko of Punta Gorda, Florida.  David will be missed by all those who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers John, Paul, Nick, George, Frank, and Andrew; and sister Anna Steckler.

There will be a visitation at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home at 210 King Street in Northumberland from 5:00 to 7:00 Monday evening immediately followed by a memorial service with his son David M. Lipko officiating and military honors accorded by the American Legion Post #44.
